  • TCK – Technological content knowledge is the understanding of how technology can work with the subject matter.
  • TPACK – Technological pedagogical content knowledge is all of the above.

TPACK stands for Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge. It is a framework that identifies the knowledge teachers need to teach effectively with technology. As you may plan to teach online, it is a useful framework that can guide you to develop a thorough understanding of the different critical elements in teaching online. Check out more information about TPACK here.

Creating a Google survey

Why use Google Survey/Form?
- To make surveys to collect data, easy and fun!
- To create quiz for your students!
- In online classes, always make surveys before the class to understand your students!
To install GoogleDrive go to https://drive.google.com/
You may watch these Youtube videos if you have problems installing it.
Install & setup Google Drive on Windows computer
How to Install Google Drive on Your Mac
* Once you installed it, you will be able to follow what I had done in the online meeting. You will see a square button "Apps" on the top of your screen. Click on it, find the button "Drive," and it will take you to the GoogleDrive page where you can create a form/survey.

I've demonstrated how to create a Google survey in this week's Adobe Connect meeting. You will need to create your own Google survey and go out to collect data for your survey. You can share your link on your facebook page or through email/twitter to ask your friends about their use of technology. If you are teaching yourself, you can also send this survey to your students. Once you have your data, write a brief report and submit to BB along with your url.
Instructions and rubrics of this assignment can be found HERE.

* For requirement #7- a brief description, you can simply put a paragraph in the submission area the same way as you submit your url inside of BB, you don't have to attach a new MS Word file to report your results.

Blog Entry 3

We've gone through three weeks' class at this point. I want you to kind of pause a little bit and think about what we have learned until now. Write this blog in the form of a journal/diary, instead of an essay. Be honest to yourself and to me. Your grades will not be affected because you told me you hate technology. You may consider the following questions when you do your reflective journal:
  • What do you think about the class so far overall?
  • What have you learned from this class until now? Are they beneficial to your personal growth as well as professional/career growth? Why/Why not?
  • Among all the readings/activities/assignments that we've done so far, which one(s) do you like most and which one(s) do you like least?
  • What do you feel about the online format? Do you feel a little bit more adjusted now as compared to when we just started off the class?
  • Do you think your learning needs and expectations have been (partially) met? What are most interesting things to you about technology integration that you anticipate to learn?
A new requirement: Comment on at least two of classmates' blog post.
Try to understand what others think and see if you have agreements or disagreements. It's a good opportunity to interact and share your opinions with each other and debate on certain issues if you have different opinions on things. Remember our blog is an ideal virtual space for free and open discussion and an incubator for collaboration.
